ABOUT DR.SENFT

Dr. Mark Senft is a Board-Certified Podiatrist in the Kailua Kona area.

Dr Senft grew up in the 60's in eastern Iowa attending the University of Dubuque earning a bachelor of science in biology and natural sciences. He attended the California College of podiatric medicine in San Francisco, California. Residency training was in Los Gatos California and Campbell California.

Dr. Senft was in private practice in Houston Texas for 15 years and has been board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery since 1988. While in Houston Texas, Dr. Senft was an attending physician for the Doctors Hospital Airline, podiatric residency program and was the program director for three years. 

Moving to Kailua Kona Hawaii late 1999 With his wife Kelly Donovan who is a licensed  Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Senft started his practice out of Dr. Susan Senft’s, his sister's office, the local ophthalmologist. In late 2002, the office was moved to the Lanihau Professional Center near the Kona Bowling alley. 

In 2013 the office was moved to it's current location in Kamanu Center Suite B-106.

Dr. Senft has been on staff at Kona Community Hospital for the last 10 years. He is also on staff at the new Kona Surgery Center and is on the Board of Directors.

Dr. Senft continues to stay in the academic and teaching environment. He currently works for the Northwest Podiatric Medical Foundation as a guest speaker at seminars and has been an invited speaker for the Colorado Podiatric Medical Association and the European Society for foot and ankle surgery in Lubeck Germany.

Dr. Senft is an active member of the West Hawaii Astronomy club and enjoys golf, traveling, and rock n' roll!
